You're Welcome

CBS/AP
I'm starting to think Congress is out of touch.  No really. They take such good care of us most of the time.

Everyone deserves a brief vacation. After all, they have healthcare, two wars, a trillion dollar deficit and the a tidal wave of unemployment to worry about. Who wouldn't need to get away. Copenhagen? For the weekend? Pick me... pick me.

The bills for the trip to Copenhagen are coming to light. According to CBS News, more than 165 people from the administration and congress went to the climate summit. For the 21 congressional junketeers, the tab came to more than $2,200 a day.

Here's the quote I liked:
"CBS News asked members of Congress and staff about whether they're mindful that it's public tax dollars they're spending. Many said they had never even seen the bills or the expense reports."

And then there's the irony of 165 people flying across the ocean to attend a summit that was on television. Mindboggling.

I only wish I could sucker the American taxpayer into send me and my family to say, Hawaii for a couple of weeks. And please remember to book me only at the Four Seasons!!
